Delete your Yamey account

How to delete your account

1. Open the Yamey app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings, then Delete account.
3. Enter your password to confirm, and choose Delete my account.

You are signed out everywhere straight away. Your account then waits for 30 daysbefore your details are erased. If you change your mind in that time, sign in and chooseKeep my account.

Before you can delete

We can't delete an account while any of these is still open:

• an active subscription (end it first);
• jobs that are still going, as a customer or as a pro (finish or cancel them);
• money in your wallet or earnings still on hold (spend or withdraw it, and wait for held earnings to be released).

What is deleted

• Your name, email address, phone number and password.
• Your saved addresses and job locations.
• Your profile photo, and the photos and documents from your identity checks.
• Your saved payment cards.
• Your posts, and who you follow, block or save.
• Your signed-in devices, notifications and push settings.

What we keep

• Your comments on other people's posts, shown as "Deleted user" with no link to you.
• Records of jobs, payments, invoices, ratings, disputes and chat messages that other people and the law need. These are kept for as long as the law requires and are no longer tied to your name and contact details.

Can't sign in, or want to ask in writing?

Write to privacy@yamey.tech from the email address on your account and ask for your account and data to be deleted. We will confirm it is you and reply with what happens next. For how we handle your information in general, read ourPrivacy Policy.
